Schools from around the UK will be coming together online for the Youth Climate Summit during what would have been the week of COP26 to take action to create a more just, sustainable world and make commitments and pledges for the planet.
Coordinated by charity Global Action Plan and a team of dedicated teachers, the Youth Climate Summit will be a week-long virtual festival (9-13th November) of days of themed discussions and activities. They are inviting schools, teachers and organisations all over the UK to submit session ideas and fringe events – explore our site to find out how you can help shape the agenda.
Full timings and details will be announced soon – many minds are working on what will be an exciting week of coordinated sharing, learning and action in schools and homes across the UK and beyond.
Plastfree is honoured to be part of the Summit and will be holding a session to raise awareness about ill effects of incorrect flushing of period products down the toilet along with Unblocktober . We will also be seen supporting WASUP in this event by contributing towards tree plantation and litter picks.
